Following up from last night’s amazaing SAVAGES news, we have organised a Pop Noire Night in Paris on 6th June at La Maroquinerie. The girls will be playing as well as some very special guests.

Today is an enormous day for Pop Noire. We are delighted to announce that we have teamed up with Matador Records to release the much-anticipated debut album by SAVAGES on 6th May 2013.
The album was recorded in north-west London’s Fish Factory during a three week period in December 2012, and is produced by Johnny Hostile / Rodaidh McDonald.
Clocking in at 38 minutes, Silence Yourself opens with an excerpt from the John Cassavetes film ‘Opening Night’, and features brand new recordings of ‘Husbands’, ‘I Am Here’ and ‘City’s Full’ – first heard on debut single ‘Husbands / Flying To Berlin’ and the ‘I Am Here’ live EP – both previously released by us here at Pop Noire.
First song to be revealed from the album is ‘She Will’, which can be heard below.
The album will be available to pre-order from iTunes from Tuesday 19th at midnight, and fans who do so will instantly receive an mp3 download of ‘She Will’. Physical copies of the album will also be sold through our Pop Noire store and will be available on CD and vinyl.
The album comprises eleven tracks that are uncompromising and delivered with fierce conviction.

We are incredibly proud to announce that in just over a month LESCOP will be making a trip across the English Channel to play for us in London.
Taigen Kawabe, from our friends Bo Ningen, will also be supporting as well as DJ sets from SAVAGES and our very own Johnny Hostile. The full Pop Noire family will be in the house, come party with us!
The event will take place at Birthdays, Dalston on 17th January 2013.
Wonderland Magazine have featured our little record label into their next publication. The article explains the birth of the label, the ideas, ethos and people behind it and, most importantly, the music.
We are very proud to see our entire roster, John & Jehn, LESCOP and SAVAGES, get a mention in this article as it has been a very productive, yet hardworking, year for all of the Pop Noire family.

We are very excited to announce our second POP NOIRE NIGHT. Like last time, the event will take place at the Shacklewell Arms in London on the 29th of May 2012.
VERITY SUSMAN and SAVAGES will bring some excellent tunes to the venue, accompanied by a DJ set by MICACHU.

A couple of weeks ago the label hosted their first night at the London venue The Shaklewell Arms. The night has been a big success and featured performances by the promising newcomer band SAVAGES and Pop Noire’s own LESCOP, which gave his debut performance in the UK that night.
Thanks to all who came and made it a very special night for everyone.

Pop noire records announce their first label night at Tuesday the 24th of January at the Shaklewell Arms in Dalston, LONDON, UK.
